The EL70L is a mediating communication device between PC and ELID controllers for a small scale networked configuration on an Ethernet local area network. It converts TCP/IP to RS485/Multi-drop/RS232 signals or vice verse.
Each EL70L has a unique IP address that can be set by user just like a PC on a network. An RJ-45 socket is available on EL70L for connecting a LAN cable to the nearest hub.
On the serial signaling side, users can select to use either Multi-drop or RS485 or RS232. When using Multi-drop or RS485, a maximum of 16 controllers can be connected.
EsofWIN LAN version is compatible with EL70L, and a typical configuration is shown below, where controllers are connected to EsofWIN in traditional way via Multidrop as well as by LAN through EL70L. The only condition is that there can only be a maximum of 64 controllers.
