Multiple Application |
| |
Providing 8 sets access points, each set for IN and OUT readers. |
Each controller can be configured to work as a Door, Lift, Car Park Controller of a Time Recording Terminal. |
| |
Modular Expansion |
| |
Up to four ER505 Reader Interface Units (RIU) for Door Readers. Each ER505 unit supports 2 set of access points for 2 door readers (2 pairs of IN/OUT Readers).
An EL5000 Controller can handle a maximum of 4 units of ER505. |
Up to eight ER504 Reader Interface Units (RIU) for Door Readers. Each ER504 unit supports 1 set of access points for 1 door readers (1 pairs of IN/OUT Readers). An EL5000 Controller can handle a maximum of 8 units of ER504. EL5000 unit. |
EA584 has been introduced as a 4 ports hub for a star configuration of EFD I/O boards and RIUs. |
| |
High Performance Networking |
| |
RIU and EFD are connected to EL5000 Controllers via a proprietary communication bus called E-BUS. E-BUS works like a small LAN-network employing high-speed RS485 having 2 wires peered, with collision detection communication topology. |
Currently each EL5000 Controller handles a maximum of 4 RIUs and 4 EFDs on a single E-BUS LAN. |
| |
LAN Enabled |
| |
EL5000 is equipped with a 10Mbps10baseT Ethernet LAN Interface port. |
It supports peer-to-peer communication between controllers and host computer by using TCP/IP Internet Protocol. |
| |
Local Programming |
| |
EL5000 Controller has full stand-alone capability and functions independently during system downtime or power failures through its on-board battery power supply. |
The user has the option to program the controller via a 16-key keypad, aided by a displaying 20 by 20 LCD. |
| |
Wide Choice Of Readers |
| |
EL5000 works with a wide choice of card reader without any hardware modification. They include Proximity Readers, Smart Card Readers, Contactless Smart Card Readers, Wiegand Readers, Magnetic Readers, Bar-code Readers and Touch Memory Readers. |
User can then select different data format in accordance to reader type. For example, with the Proximity Reader mode, 26-bit Wiegand format, ELID proprietary format or any other Proximity format already applied in the market can be handled by means of minimal operational settings. |
| |
Supports Different Operational Cards |
| |
EL5000 manages 5 types of operational cards |
User Card to gain access to protected area |
Temporary Card to temporarily replace accidentally lost or misplaced User Cards, etc. |
Visitor Card to gain access with specific expiry date, and limiting number of times of access |
Guard Tour Card used for guard patrol monitoring purposes in the Matrix V system |
Escort Card used in conjunction with normal user cards in Dual Card mode. |
Special Card to arming/activation of input/output points. |
| |
Variable Length Alphanumeric Card Number |
| |
It accepts numeric card-number with 10 characters of buffer length. |
It allows users to define their own card numbers when using Smart Cards or any other types of cards in the market supporting this feature. |
| |
Large Database |
| |
EL5000 stores up to 30,000 cards and 23,000 transactions records at a time. The 20,000 transactions must be downloaded and cleared for further processing requirements, before new transactions can be recorded. |
| |
Multiple Mode Of Operation |
| |
For identification, it supports PIN mode, Card mode and Card+PIN mode. In Card+PIN mode, the PIN can be generated by internal algorithm or chosen by user, up to 80 PIN codes can be recorded. |
If required, Card+PIN mode can be imposed on selected users only. |
A user attempting to access with a card will be locked out if wrong PINs are repeatedly entered. |
Support for Dual Card mode. |
If required, continuous card-swiping mode on a door reader is available for tracking purposes even when door is opened. |
| |
Access Time Zones |
| |
128 time zones are provided. Each time zone has an 8-day Schedule (7 weekdays + 1 holiday) with 2 start-stop periods per day. |
There are 20 records of Holidays. |
There are 256 sets of Global Timers made available. |
| |
Set Events |
| |
It registers up to 50 types of events. |
Events can be saved selectively by user setting. |
| |
Anti Pass-Back On Multiple Access Points |
| |
It supports 3 modes of anti pass-back :
hard anti-passback mode prevents double entry or double exit from a protected area. |
soft mode enforces anti pass-back by Reader Mode on readers for entry purposes only. |
alarm mode tolerates anti-passback violations but provides a special alert to system operators whenever an anti pass back violation takes place, with information on where the violation occurred and by whom. This is in addition to standard transaction logging. |
Global anti pass-back zones can be defined with multiple access points. Each zone can be defined with up to 8 Entry points and 8 Exit points. |
| |
Inter-locking Function |
| |
Up to 8 doors can be interlocked. When this function is enabled, only one door can be opened at a time. |
| |
Alarm Monitoring |
| |
EL5000 offers comprehensive Alarm Monitoring features. Conditional I/O operation can be defined to trigger controls on Alarm Inputs, Output Points and Readers. For high security applications, EFD can be used to provide supervised inputs. |
| |
Time Attendance Function |
| |
Users have the option of incorporating Time Attendance functions to the EL5000, which gathers access behaviour data at door readers to be used with the Matrix V Time Attendance software module. |
