The EL38 is a single bus RS485 (4-wire) to RS232 interface converter, allowing PC to be linked to 16 controllers with maximum distance of 1 KM. It is equipped with lightning protection devices. The EL38 has a slot for inserting software key (dongle), and so can be used where the software requires validation.
